At just 17, Margot Walker, RN, WHNP-C, IBCLC knew she wanted to work with women, specifically because she saw them as the decision-makers for their families’ health. That early clarity led her to become a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, a role she’s now used to build a wellness practice rooted in trust, results, and a deeply personal mission.

Today, Margot leads Priority Health, a specialized wellness clinic dedicated to supporting perimenopause and menopausal women across Wisconsin. She offers personalized care focused on hormone balance, weight management, and overall health optimization. Her approach combines expert guidance, customized supplements, and holistic strategies to help women (and men!) navigate the unique challenges of midlife and achieve lasting wellness. With decades of experience and a passion for true healing, she’s redefining what’s possible in midlife and beyond.

Meet the Founder of Priority Health

Name: Margot Walker, RN, WHNP-C, IBCLC
Business: Priority Health
Location: Wisconsin
Business Philosophy in Three Words: Trust. Follow Through. Satisfaction.

“My patients trust me. I tell them what I’m going to do and then I do it.  They know they will have good results with my treatment programs.”

What Makes Priority Health Different?

  • Whole-person care that blends hormones, lactation support, and personalized wellness
  • Deep listening and shared decision-making as clinical cornerstones
  • Lactation consults and home visits, with an IBCLC leading the way
  • Upcoming retreat experiences for perimenopausal women
  • A mission to normalize menopause care and reduce stigma around hormone therapy

“I want women to know that they are important and their bodies matter.  As a nurse practitioner, I focus on preventive health.  Treating menopausal women is important in reducing mortality and morbidity.”

A Practice Born from Passion and Reinvented by Resilience

Margot began her private practice in January 2020, offering IV hydration, concierge services, and home visits. When the pandemic hit, she lost her clinic job but instead of folding, she went all in on her practice. She taught herself the business side of medicine, leaned into online coaching for NPs, and eventually joined The Business Academy, which she credits with helping her elevate care quality even further.

“Joining The Business Academy has transformed my practice by improving the quality of care I give my patients.”

Patient Transformation That Changed Everything

One moment stands out in Margot’s career:
“A husband called to thank her for saving his wife. The woman had lived with chronic pain for 30 years. Margot listened, found the underlying issue, and treated it. This patient stopped a suicide plan and has been able to resume a healthy sex life.”

Her Mission in Motion

Margot’s not interested in cookie-cutter solutions. She wants her patients to understand their bodies, make informed choices, and live longer, healthier lives. Whether through hormone therapy, lactation support, or simply feeling seen, her approach is about dignity, clarity, and transformation.

A Vision for the Future

In five years, Margot hopes to see menopause hormone therapy become the standard of care, not just a niche or trend offering. She wants women to walk into clinics and feel validated, not dismissed. And she’s leading that change, one patient at a time.

“People think menopausal symptoms are something to tolerate or wait until they go away. They don’t realize that their brain function and cardiovascular status deteriorates with every hot flash.”

Advice for Fellow Clinicians

“Don’t stand in your own way. Shift your mindset. Believe that you deserve this and that you can do it.”

Margot built her business on self-belief, resilience, and doing the next right thing. Now, she’s helping others, patients and providers do the same.

Looking Ahead

Margot is planning a retreat for perimenopausal women, continuing to evolve her offerings, and advocating for a world where hormone therapy is mainstream and women feel seen and supported.

“I want my clients to be the person they were created to be, to not be in pain and to live healthier, longer lives.”
